More butterflies for Creative Inspirations

Well i ended up creating two cards and could not decide which one to enter so i thought i would enter this one also. I kept with the butterflies on this one as well and again tried to keep it fairly simple.

I used a pearlescent white card black. I cut a smaller square from blue card stock and i dry embossed 0.5cm all the way around to give the card a bit more interest, i adhered this to the card using foam tape. I cut four 3cm x 3cm squares from light green card stock and light yellow paper. I then dies cut three butterflies, one each of light yellow, light green and blue. I then stamped a sentiment on one of the yellow squares. I arranged the squares and then adhered them to the card using double sided tape. I adhered a butterfly to each of the remaining squares and alternated the colours. I used Glossy Accents for this. Once the Glossy Accents was dry i then folded the wings out a little to make them more dimensional. I then adhered a light green heart just below the sentiment.

I used...
White pearlescent card stock from Kmart
Blue and Green card stock from my stash
Light yellow and light yellow dotted papers from Pink Petticoat
Glossy Accents
double sided tape
Butterfly Die
Sentiment
Foam tape

Have a lovely week end.

CAS LIM Butterfly Card

Well i found the Creative Inspirations blog a little challenging as the colours are not something i would normally use or combine but i think that was the really great thing about this challenge. I love taking part in these challenges as they get you to think outside of your comfort zone and that is something i need to do. With this card i wanted to keep it relatively simple and i hope you like what i came up with?

I used a pearlescent white card stock blank, i cut out a scalloped square from light yellow dotted paper (sorry it is really hard to see from the photo) i cut out several butterflies using spellbinders dies and a Martha Stewart butterfly punch. I adhered them to the card using Glossy Accents, i love it because it doesn't dry instantly so gives you a little flexibility when it comes to positioning the item and also dries clear. I will add the sentiment later as i figure this card could be used for several different occasions.

I used...
Card stock blank is from Kmart
Spellbinders dies
Martha Stewart Butterfly punch
Light yellow papers by Pink Petticoat
The green and blue card stock are from my stash
Clear and light green gems (got this free with a magazine a while back)

Thanks for following my creations
