This is my card for the Cute Card Thursday challenge this week which is Beat The Blues. I really enjoyed this as i truly love blue and i already had some fabulous papers in my stash.
I made this card on a black card base from my stash which measures 14cm x 14cm, i cut a square of patterned paper 13cm x 13cm and then mounted this on silver pearlescent paper which i trimmed a narrow border, i did not measure this i just went by my eye on that. I cut three strips from different patterned paper in 3cm x 10cm and mounted them on silver pearlescent paper, again i did not measure these dimensions i just went by eye. I coloured my image using Copics and cut this down to size, i mounted it on silver pearlescent paper and then mounted again on black card stock. I punched two butterflies, on silver and one in black and used Glossy Accents to adhere them. I stamped my sentiment on a white card blank and again cut down to size. Both the image and the sentiment are adhered to the card using dimensionals. I then lastly added the gems and pearls.
I used...
Black card stock from stash
silver pearlescent paper which i pick up from my local newsagent
LOTV image
All patterned papers are by Doodlebug Designs and i already had these in my stash
