Super excited - taking part in my first ever blog challenges

Hi Everyone,

Thanks to the amazing Coops who was kind enough to help me understand how i actually go about doing this :)

This one was a little tricky as one of the challenges was distressed, well i don't own a distressing tool and i don't own any distress inks...yes shock horror i hear you all say :), i had to improvise and distress my edges using a craft blade, not quite the result i was hoping for but fingers cross it will be ok...

For this card i used
Nitwit Papers
LOTV Stamped image
Copics - C1,E47,BV02,E50,BV000,E71,B21,B32,RV00
Sakura Gelly roll in Clear star
My precious Glossy Accents
White ribbon and flowers from my stash which i coloured with my Copics

I am entering this card in the following two challenges

Wish me luck and as always thank you for taking the time to view :)

Thanks for any help or advice

White on White Card

Hi everyone,

I do like the simple but sophisticated finish you get from white on white cards and they can be used for a variety of different occasions. You may have gathered that i tend to make a lot of my cards without adding a sentiment, i do this mainly as i make cards when the inspiration hits me more than for a specific purpose and it allows me to use them for whatever purpose later on.

I went to the Brisbane scrapbooking and papercraft show last week end and it was most definitely a case of child in a sweet shop LOL. I showed great restraint and came away only (yes i say only) 12 new copics, several embossing folders and some cutting dies. Its definitely easy now i know what sort of things i use and those which i do not despite the fact that they maybe gorgeous or extremely useful.

Let me know your thoughts on my latest card :)

as always thanks for taking the time to check in with me and look at my latest creation

I used white card stock from my own stash
Couture Creations embossing folder Compassionate
White Ribbon from my stash
White Opal liquid pearls
Martha Stewart butterfly punch

LOTV Birthday Card

Another one that is slightly different to my normal simple cards.

This one came out really well and i like the way this card kind of came together of its own accord. i started by picking two papers but then settling on only using one. I ended up with a pink and brown colour scheme and i really wanted to use one of my LOTV stamps. The rest pretty much came together once i had matched my coloured card and papers and settled on the Copics i would use.

One of the things i really love about my Copics is that you can colour your embellishments to match if you start off with white. I brought a pack of white flowers (Kaiser Craft i believe) a while back and use my Copics to colour them to match my project. That way you don't have to have hundreds of ribbons, flowers etc in various different shades (which i do already whoops).

Here is the finished card let me know what you think :)

Thanks for taking the time!

For this card i used;

Card & Papers currently in my stash
Martha Stewart punch (very sorry but cannot remember the name)
Spellbinder dies
LOTV Stamp
Flowers which i had in my stash (the brown one coloured with my Copic Marker)
2 Gellyroll Metallic pens
Copics - RV00, E35,E25,E37,R81,E00 & E33
Clear Star Gellyroll
and my beloved Glossy Accents n the wings and pom poms to give it more dimension
also sticky foam pads which are a definite must, i used this to raise the image

A very quick post - finished article

Hi All,

Well you will recognise this base card from my previous post but i had gotten stuck and couldn't think how to finish it. After some fantastic suggestions from the wonderful members of Do Crafts i was given the perfect idea. I really love this card now :)

As always thanks for reading

Jasper and Orange

Well this one was another using up some of my orange card but it more towards my normal style. I really love digital stamps and love that i can adjust them, combine them and generally make them fit my project rather that it having to work around them. I really quite like this one and it came out quite i think... i will let you be the judge of that.

I used the following in creating this card;

Digital stamp is Jasper and Flower from Digistamp Boutique
White and Orange Cardstock from my stash
Copics - YR16 (Apricot), E35 (Chamois), E31 (Brick Beige)
Sakura Gelly roll in Clear star to give the flower centre a little bit of bling
Glossy Accent to add defination to his nose

Thank you for both viewing and reading my blog. Please feel free to leave any comments or suggestions

Trying to get out of my comfort zone

Well this afternoon was all about trying to get out of my comfort zone, i have been sticking to the same style of card and colours over the last few months and thought i would try and shake it up, be a little adventurous for a change :)

Well i must admit that i am a shocker for buying all sorts of craft things when they are reduced, this is especially bad with papers. I brought a pack of yellow/orange/red papers a while ago because they were on specially, despite the fact that i virtually never use these colours...oops

So here was my attempt to use up some of my stash and try colours i am not overly comfortable using, let me know what you think.

As always thanks for taking the time to view and read my blog :)
